Bosch Rexroth, a leading global transmission and control technology supplier, is currently constructing a new factory in Cretaro, Mexico, and its influence in North America will be further enhanced. Bosch Rexroth has been successfully operating in Mexico for 40 years. Starting from the summer of 2023, the local production capacity of Cretaro’s walking machinery products and components, as well as factory automation products, will be improved, and there is still room for further growth. Bosch Rexroth will invest approximately 160 million euros to build a new factory, aiming to strengthen its local production capacity for the North American market, in order to provide customers with higher quality and more efficient services.

Bosch Rexroth’s North American business began in 1967, with approximately 2200 employees in the United States and Canada, and approximately 170 employees in Mexico. The new Cretaro factory covers an area of approximately 42000 square meters and will be completed by mid-2023. After the debugging is completed in 2027, it is planned to hire more than 900 employees. Cretaro’s walking machinery and factory automation products are mainly exported to the United States and Canada. In addition to Bosch Rexroth’s new factory, Bosch Mexico has also released a series of investment announcements in recent months.

Greg Gumbs, CEO of Bosch Rexroth North America, said, “We believe that the North American walking machinery market has enormous potential, such as in the agricultural or engineering machinery sector. Therefore, we have decided to produce corresponding components for this market, such as hydraulic pumps. We will adhere to the principle of” rooted in the local market, serving the local market “and further strengthen the existing capabilities of the Fontaine walking hydraulic product production plant located in South Carolina.”. We will promote the development of electrified products and related software for walking machinery. As a hub for the hydraulic business of North American walking machinery, Fangtingyin’s production capacity will become stronger and better meet customer needs. After the new factory of Cretaro is put into operation, it will further enhance our production capacity

In addition, Bosch Rexroth hopes to increase its market share of factory automation products in North America. The corresponding production capacity of Cretaro, combined with Charlotte’s existing linear technology customization center, can provide the highest quality service to North American customers.
