The ABB 2ML-C42A-CC is a miniature circuit breaker (MCB).
- Overload Protection: When a circuit draws excessive current exceeding a safe limit for a certain time, the MCB trips (switches off) to prevent overheating and potential fire hazards in the wiring.
- Short-Circuit Protection: In case of a sudden surge in current due to a short circuit (accidental contact between live and neutral wires), the MCB instantly trips to disconnect the faulty circuit and minimize damage to equipment.
