- Differential protection: This is the main protection function of the RET670, and it protects the transformer against internal faults, such as winding faults.
- Distance protection: This function protects the transformer against external faults, such as faults on the transmission lines connected to the transformer.
- Overcurrent protection: This function protects the transformer against overload conditions.
