- Peer-to-Peer DCS Link: It enables communication between two DCS880 drive controllers using a Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) connection. This allows for data exchange and coordinated operation between the drives.
- External Field Exciter Connection: In some DCS880 models (H5 and H8 specifically), the SDCS-DSL-H10 can also be used to connect an external field exciter. A field exciter is a device that supplies current to the motor’s field winding, controlling its speed and torque.
