Description
The EPRO PR6423/01B-030/CON011 is an eddy current displacement sensor manufactured by Emerson. It is a non-contact sensor designed for critical turbomachinery applications such as steam, gas and hydro turbines, compressors, gearboxes, pumps and fans to measure radial and axial shaft dynamic displacement; position, eccentricity and speed.
Eddy current displacement sensors use the principle of eddy currents to make contactless measurements of conductive targets. Eddy currents are electrical currents induced in a conductor by a changing magnetic field.
