The Foxboro FBM09 is a Contact/DC Input/Output Module used in Foxboro’s I/A Series Distributed Control System (DCS).

• Provides interface between digital field signals and the Fieldbus network: It can take digital (on/off) signals from sensors and actuators in the field and convert them into a format usable by the DCS. Likewise, it can send digital signals from the DCS to control those field devices.
• Can handle contact or DC voltage input: The 8 input channels can be configured to read either the open/closed state of contacts (like switches) or the presence/absence of DC voltage.
• Offers DC output switching: The 8 output channels can be used to turn on or off DC devices. It can either use an external power source or its own internal source to provide the DC power.
