It provides a high-speed data path between the TDC 3000 system and other devices, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and remote terminal units (RTUs). The DHI board supports a variety of data protocols, including Modbus, Profibus, and DeviceNet.

The DHI board is a plug-in card that is installed in the TDC 3000 system’s mainframe. It has two connectors:

• A 37-pin connector that connects to the TDC 3000 system’s Data Highway
• A DB9 connector that connects to the external device
