Description
The Prosoft 3150-CBM is a discontinued communication module designed to connect Allen-Bradley SLC (Small Logic Controller) series PLCs to various serial devices.
- Function: It bridges communication between SLC processors and serial devices using protocols other than DH-485. This is important because while SLCs have a built-in DH-485 port for communication on that specific protocol, the 3150-CBM enables them to communicate using other serial protocols.
- SLC Compatibility: Designed specifically for Allen-Bradley SLC 500 and SLC 1000 series PLCs. It installs in a single slot of the SLC backplane.
- Serial Ports: Provides two DB9 serial ports for connection to various serial devices.
