The Prosoft 3150-MCM Interface Module is a discontinued device designed to bridge communication between Allen-Bradley SLC (Small Logic Controller) processors and Modbus devices.
Function:
- Acts as a Modbus communication interface for Allen-Bradley SLC 500 processors.
- Enables the SLC processor to communicate with Modbus slave devices (Master mode) or respond to requests from Modbus masters (Slave mode).
Modbus Compatibility:
- Supports both Modbus RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) and ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) protocols, which are widely used in industrial automation for serial communication.
