Description
The Prosoft 5601-RIO-MCM is a discontinued standalone protocol gateway that acts as a bridge between devices on a Remote I/O (RIO) network and Modbus devices.
- Remote I/O Connectivity: It connects to a Remote I/O scanner (master) on a RIO network and acts as a slave device.
- Modbus Master/Slave Support: It can function as both a Modbus Master and Slave on up to four serial ports. As a Master, it initiates communication with Modbus slave devices and retrieves data. As a Slave, it responds to communication requests from Modbus masters.
- Rockwell Automation Compatibility: It’s specifically designed for easy connection to Rockwell Automation PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) like ControlLogix, SLC, and PLC.
- Data Conversion: It facilitates data exchange between RIO and Modbus devices by translating data formats between the two protocols.
