The Prosoft MVI46-MCM is a Modbus Master/Slave Network Interface Module designed to work with Rockwell Automation’s SLC 500 processors.

• Modbus Communication: It enables communication between the SLC 500 processor and Modbus-compatible devices. Modbus is a widely used industrial communication protocol that facilitates data exchange between various electronic devices. This allows the SLC 500 to communicate with a broad range of instruments, sensors, and other PLCs from different manufacturers.
• Master/Slave Capability: The MVI46-MCM can operate in two modes:
  • Master Mode: In this mode, the MVI46-MCM initiates communication and controls data exchange with slave devices (typically sensors and actuators) on the Modbus network.
  • Slave Mode: The MVI46-MCM acts as a slave device on a Modbus network. It responds to data requests from a master device (typically a PLC or SCADA system).
