Description
The Prosoft MVI56E-MCM is a Modbus Master/Slave Enhanced Communication Module designed to connect Rockwell Automation ControlLogix processors to devices using the Modbus RTU/ASCII serial communication protocol.
Functionality
- Acts as an interface between a ControlLogix processor and Modbus devices.
- Enables the ControlLogix processor to act as a Modbus Master (polling Modbus slave devices for data) or a Slave (responding to data requests from a Modbus Master).
- Each of the module’s two serial ports can be independently configured as a Master or Slave.
