The Schneider 140CHS11000 is a hot standby module for the Modicon Quantum programmable logic controller (PLC) platform.

• Provides redundancy: In critical industrial automation systems, downtime can be very expensive. A hot standby module allows for a backup PLC to take over seamlessly if the primary PLC fails. This minimizes downtime and keeps your operation running smoothly.

• Works with specific PLCs: The 140CHS11000 is compatible with legacy Modicon 140CPU PLCs using LL984 language and newer 140CPU43412A/534 models with IEC language.

• Fiber optic communication: It transmits data over a fiber optic cable, which offers several advantages over traditional copper wiring. Fiber optic is immune to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and can transmit data over longer distances with less signal loss.

• Key specifications:

  • Transmission speed: 10 Mbps

  • Requires two slots in the PLC rack
